Pantaloons Present: Sleeping Beauty 2009
Once again Maeve Fox played the Queen opposite Paul Cusack as King; a role both actors previously enjoyed in the 2002 production.
Once again we were joined onstage by the children from the School of Performing Arts.
Pantaloons Present: Cinderella, 2008
In 2008 we performed our second production of Cinderella. This year our stage manager and set designer, Tony, made a wonderful Big Coach even though its scene only lasted two minutes!
Pantaloons Present: Hansel and Gretel 2007
This was the year we found two wonderful children to play the lead parts Ciara O’Grady (Gretel) and Nathan Bluett (Hansel). Not only did they learn all their lines in just one week they also knew all of ours!
Great all rounders they were good actors, singers and the audience simply loved them.
Pantaloons Present: Mother Goose, 2006
In 2006 we staged Mother Goose for the second time, but the first performance since moving to Glór.
This year Paul Curley came back to play the Dame and Ken took over as the Devil.
Pantaloons Present: Aladdin, 2005 at Glór
For our fifth production we chose the Arabian classic, Aladdin but were having difficulty in locating a suitable Genie’s lamp. So thanks to Sarah’s dad who made us up a fantastic magic lamp, which worked out great for us.
Pantaloons Present: “Jack and the Beanstalk” – 2004 at Glór, Ennis
In 2004 Pantaloons returned to Glór, this time with a production of children’s favourite Jack & The Beanstalk.
Cormac O’Brien stole the show as The Giant. Cormac, then just 17, was a true performer in every sense of the word and, donning the outsized costume and stilts each night to play the Giant, definitely suffered for his art!
Pantaloons Present: “Cinderella” 2003
In 2003 we moved to Glór Theatre to perform our third production, Cinderella. We were joined onstage by Sparks school of Hip Hop.
Having such a wonderfully spacious auditorium to work with took some getting used to, at first however now we feel like we’re coming home every year we return to Glór.
Pantaloons present Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty, our second production was hosted, once again, at the Holy Family School hall. Although we lost some of our original cast our original Dame Ken O Shaughnessy came on board and found he was born to play a Dame, both adults and children love his sense of fun.
Mother Goose: Our first Production
Mother Goose was our first pantomime and we were joined onstage by the children from the School of Performing Arts, we used the hall at the Holy Family School for our first production and it was a great success and drove us to do it again the following year.
